FACT-CHECK: Tinubu has Five Private Jets- Sowore.

‎Claim: The viral video circulating on the YouTube link below showing Sowore engagement of a Senior Lawyer in a heated, explosive and intellectual debate

Also watch https://youtu.be/9f3d4a7awaE?si=caPSFP_izr8ZvNR0 has generated a lot of controversy among the populace due to his alleged claim that President Tinubu has five Private Jets. The video which was posted on the 19th October, 2026 has 58 likes and 1.3K views as of the time of filling this report.
‎Verdict: Unverified
‎There was not sufficient evidence that back up the claims from the public domain that established that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu personally has five jets to his credit. What was shown by the report of the Halt Fake was that Nigeria acquired a presidential jet for Tinubu.
‎In 2024, the Federal Government acquired an Airbus A330 aircraft, registered as 5N-FGA, for use by the Nigerian Presidential Air Fleet. This does not necessarily mean that the Jets belong to the President personally.
‎According to a fact-check published by Halt Fake, the aircraft had previously been registered as VP-CAC and was acquired for presidential use.
‎The Fact:
‎An aircraft purchased by the Nigerian government for presidential use is not automatically the President’s personal property. Another is the fact that a president uses different aircraft does not, by itself, prove that he owns them. Because government is continuous.
‎What we verified.
‎The verification from the public domain shows Punch Newspapers reported that Sowore confronted a Lawyer who allegedly referred to him as a “tout”. Also, TheNigerialawyer published a report describing the confrontation and stated that its video showed the courtroom exchange. And finally Channels Television reported on the court proceedings involving Sowore on the same date.

Also, the YouTube channels for the video link shows @YeleSowore which does not carried any blue badge verified sign

Methodology – HIVE AI DETECTOR
‎Image Verification.
‎The image was verified using the Hive AI detector to ascertain if the picture and the video were completely AI-generated.

The results analysis using the technology review below as
‎Results: High
‎Yes_Overday_text: 1.00 (text: 0.98)
‎Natural: 0:85
‎• Low:
‎Hibrid: 0.15 yes_or_Code: 0.07

What this means was that the video have a high mixture of AI generated having a high level of AI-related characteristics, reporting a text score of 0.98. However, the available results do not establish that the content was entirely generated by artificial intelligence. Therefore, the results should be treated as an indicator rather than completely concluded that it has an evidence of AI authority.
‎Conclusion,
‎The claim that President Tinubu has five jets as alleged by Sowore could not be fully established and verified as there was no verifiable evidence to justify the claim whether it is true or not that Sowore’s claim as either conclusively true or conclusively false. The specific allegation that Tinubu personally owns five private jets remains unverified. This means there is a difference between a president using an aircraft, a government owning a presidential aircraft, and a president personally owning several private jets. Since he did not name the five aircraft, identify their registration numbers, or provide evidence of ownership that would further spark investigation, the allegations would remain unverified and a mere declaration allegations.
