The representative of the Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board—NCDMB, in the Planning Research and Statistics , Directorate . Mr Silas Ajimijaye Omomehin has said activities of the body would positively   impact on the development of Nigeria and Ondo State in particular.

Omomehin said operations of Modular Refinering in the country were successful because of partnership with the NCDMB.

 

He said the NCDMB, as a government regulatory  agency, was effective and efficient to supporting development of the local content.

His words, ” You know they say the morning shows the day. In order to guage what the impact of NCDMB will be ,let me scale a little back a bit to tell you what NCDMB has done. The first Modular Refinering in Nigeria came to operation in partnership with NCDMB and is working effectively.

” Even before the Port was declared, ,the NCDMB has already acquired land in Ondo State for what we called Nigeria Oil and Gas Park”.

He disclosed this at the ongoing Develop Ondo 2.0 investment held at the International Culture and Event Centre – The Dome, when he was feeding questions from Press men. He said they have already had the place and its been developed .

Similarly, Mr Silas said there is no infrastructure or facility in place to support the Port now that the Government had decleared the Port . His words ” Now that we talked of declaration of Port , there is no infrastructure or facility in place to support that Port. Now that NCDMB,  a Federal Government Agency has already had land where a prospective Investors in that Port can domicile their activities ”

He said NCDMB is building a park not asking Investors to come and build their offices and manufacturing, whare houses and training Centres.  He said they are building all these facilities for the purpose of making ways of doing business easy for our investors.

He said all what they are asking now is just for the Investors to come and settle down in Ondo States to do their businesses.
Ajimijaye who said there is going to be Investors, the logistics people, the manufacturers  and the Exporters who would have a base fro and to where they would work and access the Port . He said the work of the NCDMB is most strategic to effective implementation .

He thanked the Executive Governor of Ondo Mr Arakurin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu -SAN CON, for given the Board all that is necessary support to work with in order to ensure that the park take off.

He said they have all the full support of the State government to the extent that all the Communities and all those who have crops on the land , all those who have structures on the land have been compensated . Everybody in that place have been compensated by the NCDMB in conjunction with the State government.

He said that the appeal now is for the Communities , especially  in Ilaje Local Government area is for them  to rally round and support the efforts of the state government and the NCDMB to ensure the successful actualisation of the Port .
