You Are In Bondage If You Are Poor-

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor E.A Adeboye has said poverty is enough to put someone in bondage. He said freedom is important to man-kind in life, no matter how wealthy and influential a man may be if he lacks freedom, such person is in bondage. He disclosed this today, during the monthly thanksgiving of the Church that fell on the Independence Day celebration of our dear Nation, Nigeria.
The man of God who condemned in it’s entirety the idea of borrowing, as the Bible says that a borrower is a slave to the lender, as quoted from the book of Proverbs 22: 7. He believed in prosperity being a way of overcoming poverty in the society. The man of God also talked about the mortgage scheme which had been putting people into bondage in life. According to him, not untill a man finish the payment, such person will not be freed from bondage. Adeboye who spoke on the topic FREE INDEED, said a man is not free if he or she is still under the bondage of his creditor, as the bank could come and claim their money at anytime from the person.
In another development, the man of God said a wealthy man or a king could be under bondage , no matter his level of riches. He sighted an example of king Nebuchadnezzar in the Bible, how he was dinning and winning with the Beast in the forest because he was not free. He however prayed for the congregation to be free from the bondage of material things as well as spiritual situations in life.
He said a man is not free if he is still afraid, as such person is under the bondage of satanic oppression. He quoted first John 4: 18 to buttress his point. He said anyone who is still afraid of the Witches and Wizard, afraid of going back to the village, afraid of waking up in the morning, afraid of going to bed to sleep, afraid of going to the office believing that someone might have put charms on your chair in the office while you weren’t there, then you are not free Indeed. He said fear can torment when someone is not under the cover or banner of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. But a man who is born again, could be made whole from his fear and sickness because he has surrender his life to Jesus Christ.
