When asked which machine they are using in teaching learners ? The source response was that ” I only take my students to the corridor where the machine are kept and show it to them that this is what they called late machine and drilling machine and then I will explain to them how it’s functions . Even in the school generally now no electricity supply and this is a challenge to us in that aspect”.

Similarly, the source explained that the curriculum foundation designed by the educationist for the teaching of the technical subjects was faulty as some of the topics imbedded into the curriculum for the Junior secondary like Jss1 are too advanced for their memories. He said they put building materials in the curriculum of JSS 1 then you now come across plan in the curriculum of JSS 3. He said the issue of how to minimize heat and lubrication was not there in their curriculum .

At the St. Francis High School,Akure, our correspondence was able to gathered that the school were facing some challenges in the areas of man power as the work load for some of the teachers were too much.A source said a teacher was the only one responsible for the teaching of technical subjects in Jss1-3. According to them, the source said the ministry of education said only one teacher should be teaching science, technology, PHE and Computer together. And when it even come to the aspect of technology, it’s even difficult more than other subjects.

Their calls was that government should employ more technical Teachers.

According to the source, said that he was sure that by this time next year the school may not have any technical Teachers as most of them would have retired from the service.

The window and doors shutters needs to be fixed for the security and protection of the learners materials and school property. The classroom floors in most of the classes need urgent attention from the government.
It was also discovered that learners need a provision of functional computer for them to be computer literate as most Desktop computers in the Computer Unit were not functioning at all for the learners to learn practical skills in the subject.
The building of the SS3 need urgent renovations as the students had abandoned the building for use due to the poor status of the infrastructure . The toilet facilities for both staff and learners are not good enough to catered for the large number of the learners population. The location and the surrounding of the toilet facilities are bushing and this is dangerous for the learners as it would be easy for the dangerous reptiles to harm the learners that may one to make use of the facility. No portable water for learners to make use of for sanitary use .The perimeter fencing of the school need to be completed to prevent miscreants from encroaching .
The management of most of these schools  below are calling on the Ministry of Education to supply their schools with the current relevant textbook to their library as most of the books there were obsolete. School like Akure Muslim College Akure, St. Francis High School Akure,   Omo Oluorogbo Grammar School Akure and hosts of other need current textsbook in their library as most of their books in the core subjects as published for the first time edition dated 1975 and 1994 respectively.
