2024: RTEAN DECLARES SUPPORT FOR GOV AIYEDATIWA

Members of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) in Ondo State on Wednesday declared their support for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa ahead of the November 16 governorship election in the State.

The endorsement event took place at the state secretariat of the association in Akure, with thousands of drivers from across the 18 local government areas of the State in attendance.

In his address, the State Chairman of RTEAN, Comrade Adewale Bolarinwa, stated that members of the association declared their support for Governor Aiyedatiwa without coercion, noting that they have seen the developmental efforts of the Governor and therefore back his continuity in office.

Bolarinwa, who assured the Governor of total commitment to his administration’s success in office, appreciated his exemplary leadership and his display of love and support for the association.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transport, Akogun Olugbenga Omole, noted that the action of RTEAN is not only encouraging, but it is an affirmation of Mr Governor’s universal acceptance in the state.

Omole added that the activities and programmes of government that were carefully selected and implemented under the leadership of Governor Aiyedatiwa in the transport sector in the last nine months have been life changing for those in the sector.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters, Comrade Bola Taiwo, encouraged the RTEAN members to continue to spread the support for Governor Aiyedatiwa to everyone and come out in their large numbers to vote for the Governor at the gubernatorial election come November 16.

In his reaction, Governor Aiyedatiwa appreciated the members of RTEAN for the endorsement and support, promising not to disappoint them.

The Governor stressed that his administration will continue to provide adequate security of lives and property as well good roads for easy movement of the people.

Highlights of the event included presentation of award of excellence to Governor Aiyedatiwa and the conferment of Grand Patron of the Association on the Governor.

Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan,
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State.
