D Chronicle Media Honours Olumide Omosuyi with the Pillar of Community Development and Leadership Award

Engr. Olumide Abayomi Omosuyi, popularly known as OOA, will be honoured at the 2026 Fizzy Lecture and Award Ceremony organized by D Chronicle Media Ventures, where he will receive the Pillar of Community Development and Leadership Award in recognition of his sustained commitment to public service, grassroots development, and people-centered leadership. The event, themed “Southwest Security Synergy: Amotekun’s Role in Regional Stability and Development,” is scheduled to hold on February 22, 2026, at the OSDPC Event Hall, Ijapo Estate, Akure, by 2:00 p.m.

A professional engineer with over seventeen years of experience in the offshore oil and gas sector, Omosuyi has distinguished himself through technical expertise and strategic leadership, rising to the position of senior engineer. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is a seasoned entrepreneur with business interests spanning education, security, hospitality, and facility management — ventures that reflect his belief in enterprise as a catalyst for economic progress.

Driven by a passion for service, Omosuyi has remained a strong advocate for human capital development, youth empowerment, poverty alleviation, and education reform. His influence extends beyond boardrooms into communities, where his initiatives continue to promote opportunity, productivity, and long-term socio-economic advancement.

As an aspiring candidate for the House of Representatives representing the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), his vision is anchored on practical solutions designed to improve everyday life. His development agenda prioritizes economic empowerment through support for small businesses, improved access to quality education with emphasis on STEM and vocational training, expanded healthcare delivery, and structured skill acquisition programmes aimed at reducing unemployment.

The ceremony will feature notable dignitaries including Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, Commandant of the Amotekun Corps, Ondo State, as Guest Speaker; Hon. Dayo Awude, Former Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, as Chairman; Hon. Otunba Timehin Adelegbe, MHR (Owo/Ose Federal Constituency) as Guest of Honour; and His Excellency, Hon. (Dr.) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State, as Special Guest of Honour. The gathering is expected to attract policymakers, business leaders, and development advocates committed to advancing sustainable growth and leadership across the South West.

Known for his accessible leadership style, Olumide Abayomi Omosuyi has emphasized the importance of accountability and citizen engagement, advocating regular town hall meetings, transparent project execution, and legislation tailored to address local realities. His approach reflects a leadership philosophy grounded in integrity, responsiveness, and measurable impact.

By presenting the Pillar of Community Development and Leadership Award to Engr. Omosuyi, D Chronicle Media Ventures celebrates a forward-thinking leader whose professional success and civic vision continue to inspire confidence in a future shaped by inclusive growth and responsible representation.
