*ONDO NOA TRAINS STAFF ON NATIONAL VALUE CHARTER, NATIONAL ANTHEM AND CAPACITY BUILDING*

In compliance with the directive of the Director General of National Orientation Agency, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu that staff training be organized for all staff of the Agency, the Ondo State Directorate of the Agency under the leadership of Mr. James Adekunle organised a capacity building programme for all members of staff in the Directorate on Monday September 30, 2024 to enhance their skills, knowledge and also boost their productivities

The training which was segmented into various sessions includes training on Evaluation and Monitoring, National Value Charter, National Anthem, briefs from HoDs, HoUs also witnessed ratification and inauguration of committee on welfare headed by Mrs. Osakuade Boyede. Other members include: Mrs. Akinniyi Joke, Mrs. Adeola Bukola, Mr. Gbenga Shamsudeen and Mr. Oluwadare Adedayo.

The State Director while imploring all members of staff most especially the field officers to be diligent in their duties noted that the era of writing reports from home has gone as sophisticated apps have been designed by the Director General to monitor the activities of the field officers. He further emphasized that the Director General will not condole laziness.

Additionally, he urged eligible staff for 2025 promotion exercise to start preparing for the exam, adding that the Agency has switched from writing to computer-based examination.

The field officers reaffirmed their dedication to achieving the Agency’s objectives. However, they highlighted critical challenges hindering effective discharge of their duties, notably: resources constraints and limited logistics support.

Also, they appealed to the Federal Government of Nigeria to always consider the yearnings of the people in its policies formulation. This, they mentioned that, it will make their sensitisation and orientation programmes seamless as there is high level of distrust in Government due to failed policies implementation in the past.

Members of staff took turn to express their opinions on how to work collectively and contribute positively to the success of the Agency’s programmes and activities.
