Ondo Guber: I will provide Free Edu for All Levels – Edema

By Admin. 16th October,2024

As political parties continue their various campaign ahead of the Governorship election slated for 16th November,2024, the candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party -NNPP, Hon.(Barr) Olugbenga Edema and his running mate DR. Barr. Rotimi Adeyemi have disclosed  that their administration would provide free and compulsory education for the students across educational board in the state. Starting this at the party flag off of campaign held in Akure Town Hall compound, with most of the party executives , members and supporters on ground. Edema said his administration would implement seven points Agenda for the good people of Ondo State. One of the lead agenda under what he tagged Ondo divine Agenda 2024 was free education at all levels. That when given the mandate, the education would be free for all and that people would feel the dividends of democracy in this sector.

He also promised that the good people of the state would enjoyed free Health services for all citizens of Ondo State. That he would support and promote policies for the Autonomy of the local government administration to enhance wealth creation and sustainable development would be given accelerated attention . Barrister Edema also harps on the development of our rural areas for optima results.

Other areas of his Agenda include improved security using modern technology and equipment to fight crimes and criminality in the state .He explained that Youth development and women empowermen through agriculture, sportpreneurship, creative industry and massive industrisation to boost the state economy and create massive job among the youth in order for them to be useful for themselves, family, state and the nation at large. The last seven point Agenda of the party was creation of functional and self sustaining cities for the development of the state.

Hon. Edema re-emphasized that come September,2025 ,if he wins, that there shall be no tuition fees in all our primary,  secondary  and tertiary schools in the state. He said the electorate should not fear the APC but to dear them by voting massively for his party and asked the people to stayed by their votes as their votes would count this time around.

He alleged the APC government in the state of corrupt practice and that one of the essence of the governance is accountability of which his administration would provide for the people of the state if given  mandate  to rule. He said the two percent derived from the education trust fund is what he would used to finance free education in the state if he won the election.

Dr Ajuri Ahmed -NNPP National Chairman Response.

In another development, the national chairman of the party, Dr Ajuri Ahmed said his expectations of the event was a granding succeed as it meant all the criteria  the party was expecting from their candidate and that he believed that moving forward from now, the party would have a fruitful and successful campaign for the election.

Speaking, Dr Ajuri said the fear that the Rulling party may want to manipulate the election to their favour was not negotiable as this fear is been expressed every where because the rulling party did not want any strong opposition party around them. He said it’s left for them to protect their vote on that day, having credible agent on ground that would represent the party very well before, during and after the election.

Dr. Ajuri Ahmed said he didn’t believed in the fear that the Rulling party was trying to turn the whole country into one party State .That would not have any opposition party at all because of their interfering into another party in causing acrimony among them. He said the only way to solved this problem was for other parties like NNPP to maintain their integrity and ensure that they remain one before , during and after the election in order to stop the rulling party to turn the country into one political party before the 2027 election.

When asked about any plans for all other political parties to unite together ahead the 2027 election? Dr Ajuri Ahmed has this to say that he believed that there was such a plan and the NNPP is part of the plans if at all it materialized that their party door is opened for any coalition ahead of the 2027 election. And that if it doesn’t work, our party is capable to stand on its own.

He said there was no political saga in the Kano between the political gladiators in the state as all of them are united with one big love in the state. He said Kano State is being governed as one of the best state in the Federation and that he believed before 2027 you would see the dividends of the democracy in the state. Highlights of the event include presentation of the party flag to both the candidates and his running mate.
