The leader of the Coalition of the Nigeria Youths and Security Affairs, ambassador Ademario Emmanuel has said the Nigeria Police force should create Youths and Students Desk as it was been done by other Security Agencies like DSS, NSCDC and others in their commands that would be responsible for the conflict resolution among the youths in the country. He disclosed this at the Security Submit held at the Dome which was organized by the Coalition of Youths and Security and Safety Affairs in Ondo State.

 

Ambassador Ademario said the purpose of the organization was to look at how the Youths could be involved in complementary the activities the efforts of the security architecture in the state and the country at large in tackling the insecurity in our society.

Ambassador Ademario, who explained that the Youths with their strength are cable in doing a lots of things and also have enough energy in addressing the insecurity in the society if only government could implore their population to their advantages.. He said his organisation had been embarking on the sensitization and the orientation programme in engaging the Youths in owning us the security as a personal matter.

 

According to him, you don’t need to be induced nor inform or impose on to carry out their security responsibilities. He said the number of the security Agencies personnel in the country are not up to 1.2 million. According to him, these numbers are insignicant to police the entire country population of two hundred Million Citizens.

He said there is need for Youth organizations who are deliberately focusing on this areas of security and community base youths audit to come together and form synergy to brace the gap between the Security Agencies and the Youths both in the local government and the state .

Ambassador Ademario who said the major reason for the summit was for them to deliberate together and see where the Youth could come in , in tackling the issue of the insecurity in the state by way of assisting the government.

In another development, Ambassador Ademario said intelligence gathering owns security. He said once the intelligence gathering fails the security Agencies in the state who are in the field worker have failed. He explained that security intelligence was needed to prepared the Security personnel for the operation . So he believed that the Youths are needed for this type of the information gathering. He also said they have more than sixty four(64) organizations under them and these organizations , according to him are located in various local government in the state as their members are up to one million. He said what they need was for the security Agencies to spread their hands of fellowship to all these Youths in ensuring that crime is reduced to the bearest minimum.

Similarly, ambassador Ademario condemned the unlawful arrest , detention and extortion of the Youths by the police . He said there is need to address the issue of the innocent people that were been locked up in the prison today by the police in the country. He said one of their duties was to stand in gap between the Youth and Police against all these unlawful arrest of the innocent people particularly the youth in the country .
