Ondo 2024: Mode of Primary Not Decided Yet – APC Chieftain

By: Olanrewaju Ayo

Amidst swirling speculations regarding the mode of primary election to select the All Progress Congress (APC) candidate for Ondo State in the upcoming 2024 election, Moyosola Niran Oladunni, a chieftain in the party has clarified that no formal decision has been made yet.

In an interview, the chieftain emphasized that rumors circulating about the mode of the primary election are unfounded and not endorsed by the national leadership of the party.

“I do not know where that rumor is emanating from,” stated Niran Oladunni. “The party has not come out with any decision on the mode of primary that will be conducted to choose the candidate of the All Progress Congress (APC) in Ondo State.”

Moyosola Niran Oladunni, further stressed that such decisions are typically made in consultation with stakeholders within the State, including the State Working Committee, party aspirants, and other key members.

Addressing the preferred mode of election, the chieftain asserted that the party remains committed to democratic principles and emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization. “As a democratic party, there is no mode of election that is not suitable for us,” the chieftain remarked. “The most important thing is that everybody must go to the grassroots and work to mobilize our members for the election.”

Moyosola Niran Oladunni urged the party members to remain patient and calm throughout the process, emphasizing the need for unity and cooperation within the party.
