Oluorogbo Grammar School,Akure, needs urgent intervention in the area of infrastructural development as most of the school’s buildings are delapidated. Established in September,1980,

according to the source, the school population are not much due to the poor infrastructural development in the college. The current population of the school is about two hundred plus .Most of the buildings are nothing to write home about and these factors are preventing parents from enrolling their ward in the school. Though records shows that learners performance in the external examination is good based on the available records submitted for review.
A visit to the school by the Evaluators from the Federal Ministry of Education,Abuja for on-the Spot assessment of the school activities including monitoring of teaching and learning, revealed that the Science laboratories buildings are nothing to write home about. The ceiling, windows, floors, chairs have broken while the science apparatus are obsolete in nature. The place we’re not in use for some time due to the poor conditions of the buildings. Others classes too are dare need repairs as most of them had ly get furniture to sit on while learning is going on.
According to the management, no parents would like to bring his or her wards to a school that have no structure and this was one of the reasons why the school is lacking learners. The window shutters in some of the buildings have broken. Toilet facilities for the learners are not enough at all.
The school Administrative block ceiling have broken and almost falling down and this could allow the miscreants to gain access into the Vice Principal offices . The source said.
Speaking, the management of the school are calling on the government to extend their hands of fellowship toward the provision of infrastructural development to the school in order to enhance learning. The source said that one old student of the school whose name was not giving donated a building structure to the school for learners use while one of an international agency is currently building some classroom in the school to complement the existence building that if completed, it would benefit the learners as the building contained some toilet facilities, Guidance and Counseling unit office that learners would make use of in future .
