The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Ondo State, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, OON, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Prince Leke Adegbite on his re-election as Chairman of the Ondo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ). Dr. Ajulo described Adegbite’s victory as a testament to his exemplary leadership, credibility, and the trust members of the union have in him.

In his congratulatory message, Dr. Ajulo highlighted Adegbite’s impressive performance during his first term, emphasizing the positive impact he made on the media landscape in Ondo State. With his renewed mandate, Dr. Ajulo expressed confidence that Adegbite would deliver even greater results, drawing on his wealth of experience and the support of the media community. The Attorney General also commended the peaceful electoral process and the unity demonstrated by journalists across the state, which he believes is crucial in shaping public discourse.

Reaffirming the commitment of the Ministry of Justice to upholding press freedom, Dr. Ajulo expressed optimism that Adegbite’s leadership would continue to contribute to the advancement of transparent governance and the rule of law in the state. He assured Adegbite and the entire NUJ executive council of his ongoing support for the cause of responsible journalism and justice.

In a related development, the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has also lauded the re-election of Prince Leke Adegbite as Chairman of the NUJ. The APC praised Adegbite as a versatile journalist with remarkable administrative skills and experience. The party noted that his re-election is a reflection of his popularity and the positive strides made during his first term.

The APC commended journalists in Ondo State for their professionalism, maturity, and role in fostering peaceful coexistence among residents. In its statement, the party appealed to media practitioners to continue adhering to the ethics of their noble profession, with a specific emphasis on focusing on the developmental aspects of their work.

Furthermore, the APC called on journalists to maintain their support for the current administration, ensuring sustained efforts toward development and progress. The ruling party also urged the re-elected chairman to prioritize the welfare of journalists, ensuring that their needs are adequately addressed in the coming term.

Both the Attorney General and the APC expressed their best wishes for Prince Adegbite’s leadership, with Dr. Ajulo reaffirming his commitment to collaborating with the media to foster democratic values and responsible journalism in Ondo State.
