OAUSTECH and University of Free State Strengthen Academic Ties with MOU Signing

Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of the Free State, South Africa.

This strategic partnership aims to foster academic collaboration, research, and innovation between the two institutions in agriculture, science and technology.

The MOU signing ceremony, held at OAUSTECH, marked a significant milestone in the universities’ commitment to global academic excellence.

The agreement encompasses various areas of cooperation, including:

– *Joint Research Projects*: Collaborative research initiatives in areas of mutual interest
– *Academic Exchange*: Student and staff exchange programmes to promote knowledge sharing and cultural understanding
– *Capacity Building*: Joint capacity-building initiatives, including workshops and training programs

This partnership is expected to enhance the academic and research capabilities of both institutions, promoting knowledge sharing and innovation.

The agreement will also facilitate the exchange of best practices, expertise, and resources between OAUSTECH and the University of the Free State.

The Vice-Chancellor of OAUSTECH, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that it will open up new opportunities for academic and research collaboration.

The Ag Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of the Free State, Prof. Anthea Rhoda, echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the potential for mutual benefit and growth through this partnership.

This MOU signing is a testament to the commitment of both institutions to advancing academic excellence and fostering global partnerships.
