The Ondo State Government has shed light on a recent protest by individuals claiming to have been denied employment during the recent recruitment of teachers. According to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the protesters were not actual teachers but victims of scammers who issued fake employment and posting letters after collecting money from them.

Key Facts
*Fake Employment Letters*: The scammers issued fake letters to applicants, who were later identified during the biometric verification process.
– *Disciplinary Action*: Three SUBEB insiders have been disciplined for allegedly conniving with external individuals to defraud the applicants.
– *Meeting with Victims*: The Governor has directed SUBEB to invite the victims for a meeting, while a committee has been constituted to investigate the matter.

Successful Recruitment
– *Over 2000 Teachers Employed*: The government has employed over 2000 teachers for primary and secondary schools, who have already commenced work.

According to the press release from the CPS to the governor,, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan,  he said the government has  assured the public that it is taking steps to address the issue and prevent similar incidents in the future
