The Ondo State Directorate of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has appointed Mrs. Olufunke Moradeyo Adekunle as its Acting State Director following the retirement of Mr. James Adekunle from active public service.
The leadership transition was formalized on Friday during a handing-over ceremony held at the NOA State Director’s Office in Akure. Mr. Adekunle retired after attaining the statutory retirement age of 60 years, bringing to an end a career marked by dedication and meritorious service to the Agency and the Federal Government.
During the ceremony, official handing-over notes and relevant documents were presented to the new Acting State Director in the presence of top management staff of the Agency.
Speaking at the event, the Head of the Administration Department, Barrister Wale Obanigba, commended the outgoing Director for his impactful leadership, noting that the Ondo State Directorate recorded notable achievements under his tenure. He said the Directorate witnessed improved staff discipline and welfare, increased recognition within the state, and rose to become one of the top-performing directorates at the national level.
Barrister Obanigba assured Mrs. Adekunle of the full support and cooperation of the entire workforce as she assumes her new role, while wishing Mr. Adekunle a rewarding and fulfilling life after retirement.
Mrs. Olufunke Moradeyo Adekunle has since formally assumed duty and is now overseeing the affairs of the Ondo State Directorate of the National Orientation Agency.
