Adeogun’s 9th Assembly Record Sparks Fresh Push for Senate Bid

The political profile of Hon. Ade Adeogun, popularly known as the “Beautiful Brand,” is gaining renewed attention as stakeholders in Ondo North Senatorial District weigh options ahead of the 2027 elections.
Adeogun, who represented Akoko South West/South East Federal Constituency in the 9th National Assembly, is being projected by supporters as a seasoned public servant whose track record reflects years of political experience, discipline, and commitment to grassroots development.
Observers note that his journey in politics was marked by steady growth and deliberate training, which they say contributed to what many describe as effective representation during his time in office. His tenure reportedly witnessed an array of infrastructure and social intervention projects across communities in Akoko axis.
Projects attributed to his time in the House of Representatives include road constructions such as the Oka-Odo Junction to St. Patrick’s College, Iwaro Oka, and reconstruction of roads in Oba Akoko, as well as multiple bridge projects in communities like Owake, Ibaka, Ikanmu, Agba, and Ikese. Other interventions include the construction and renovation of town halls, community centres, school buildings, and security facilities, including a new DSS office in Akungba-Akoko.
In the area of social amenities, Adeogun facilitated the provision of boreholes, electrification projects, transformers, and motor parks across several towns. Education-focused initiatives included scholarships for over 600 students, bursaries, and the distribution of learning materials and computers to schools within the constituency.
His empowerment programmes also extended to farmers, artisans, and small business owners, with the distribution of agro-inputs, tools, grants, and vocational support. Employment facilitation into federal agencies and security services, alongside access to agricultural loans and COVID-19 relief grants, further formed part of his legislative footprint.
Political analysts argue that such achievements have strengthened his standing among constituents, particularly at a time when Ondo North continues to grapple with infrastructural deficits, unemployment, and limited industrial growth.
With the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries approaching, supporters are urging party stakeholders, including youths, women, and community leaders, to rally behind Adeogun’s senatorial ambition, describing the moment as critical for the district’s future direction.
As the race gradually takes shape, the contest is increasingly being framed by proponents as a choice between continuity of development-driven representation and a shift in political direction for Ondo North.
