‎
‎The good people of Orioke-Iwamimo have complained about the irregular presence and absence of nurses on duty at the Memorial Health Care facility donated to them by their son, Stephen and Christiana Omomehin, despite the regular payment of One hundred and fifty thousand naira -N150k of their salaries. They alleged that the nurses have failed to perform their responsibilities to the community. Stephen and Christiana, indigenes of the community, built the facility for their people to address challenges associated with medical care in the area and beyond. The man undertook this project out of concern to solve the health challenges facing people living in the rural area.
‎
‎Speaking, the Chairman of the Youth in the community, who preferred not to be mentioned in print and other personnel in the community closed to the facility, lamented the persistent absenteeism of the nurses despite the fact that they are being paid regularly by the donor of the facility for the development of the health sector in the community. They said they he are not happy with the situation and suggested that the donor might not be aware of what was going on, as he does not reside in the community. They added that they  felt compelled to speak out as an indigene, , and stakeholders in the community where the facility. Is built.
‎
‎Further investigation revealed that the facility has almost been turned into a playground for children and a relaxation spot for some adults who see the environment as a place for resting, since the nurses who were supposed to be working there daily are not available, leaving the facility locked.
‎
‎Similarly, the facility is fully equipped with modern health equipment capable of addressing the health needs of the people. There are adequate beds for this kind of healthcare service. The pharmacy is stocked with current, non-expired drugs to serve patients during treatment. Water is available and reticulated to the toilets. There are two rooms for the nurses to rest after work, both equipped with modern beds and wardrobes. Solar panels have been installed for energy supply, and in the absence of sunlight, a standby generator is also provided to power the facility and other equipment.
‎
‎They said the people of Orioke-Iwamimo, particularly those in the Iranse Quarter where the facility is located, are calling on their son to address the situation by calling the nurses to order over their conduct of collecting salaries without working. They also appealed to him to employ committed nurses and a doctor who would be willing to stay and provide medical care and advice to the people, rather than continuing to pay salaries to those who are not performing their duties.
