Rector Commends Workers’ Resilience, Calls for Sustained Unity on May Day

The Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, has lauded the resilience and commitment of Nigerian workers, describing them as critical drivers of societal growth and development.
In a goodwill message to commemorate the 2026 International Workers’ Day, the Rector congratulated workers across Nigeria and globally, acknowledging their enduring contributions to progress through dedication and hard work.
Dr. Ebeloku particularly praised the staff of the institution for their steadfastness and cooperation in advancing the polytechnic’s vision and mission. He noted that their collective efforts have continued to position the school on a path of growth and excellence.
The Rector also commended the institution’s workers’ unions — Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP), and Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) — for fostering industrial harmony and maintaining peaceful coexistence within the campus.
He expressed optimism that the existing spirit of collaboration among staff and unions would be sustained, urging all stakeholders to remain committed to shared goals.
“As we celebrate this year’s Workers’ Day, it is important to envision a future where workers’ voices are heard and their labour is duly rewarded,” he said.
Dr. Ebeloku further called for continued teamwork in overcoming challenges and achieving the aspirations of the institution and the nation at large.
He concluded by wishing workers a peaceful and fulfilling celebration.
