OSDF HOSTS SENATOR DAYO FADUYILE, ADVOCATES GREATER DEVELOPMENT FOR ONDO SOUTH

The Ondo South Development Forum (OSDF) on Saturday hosted the Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District, Senator Prof. Dayo Faduyile, at a strategic interactive session in Akure, Ondo State, aimed at strengthening collaboration between the people and their representative in the National Assembly.
Speaking at the event, the President of the Forum and Convener, Mr. Anthony Olasele, said the gathering was organized to create a platform for constructive dialogue with the senator and to foster collective support towards ensuring that the people of Ondo South enjoy the full dividends of democracy.
According to Olasele, the Forum remains committed to promoting unity, inclusive development, and sustained engagement with the Senator in order to advance the socio-economic interests of the six local government areas that make up the senatorial district.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Forum, Barr. Banjo Ayenakin, commended Senator Faduyile’s commitment to the development of the district and urged him to continue to prioritize education, youth empowerment, and people-oriented programmes. He emphasized that investing in education remains one of the most effective ways of securing the future of the region.
Barr. Ayenakin announced that outstanding candidates from the recently concluded UTME across the six local government areas of Ondo South would receive cash awards in recognition of their exceptional academic performance. He explained that the initiative is designed to encourage hard work, academic excellence, and healthy competition among students across the district.
One of the major highlights of the meeting was the proposal for the introduction of the Senator Dayo Faduyile Educational Foundation, an initiative conceived to provide scholarships, educational support, mentorship, and other opportunities for brilliant but indigent students within Ondo South Senatorial District. Participants described the proposal as a long-term investment in human capital development and urged the senator to embrace the initiative.
Responding, Senator Prof. Dayo Faduyile expressed profound appreciation to the leadership and members of the Ondo South Development Forum for organising the interactive session and for their continued confidence in his leadership.
He described the engagement as timely and commendable, noting that effective representation can only thrive through continuous consultation with the people.
The senator assured stakeholders that he would continue to operate an open-door policy, listen to the aspirations of his constituents and pursue legislation and constituency projects that would bring tangible benefits to every part of Ondo South.
The senator further assured the gathering that he would continue to work with relevant stakeholders, government institutions and development partners to attract more developmental projects to Ondo South, stressing that the collective progress of the district must remain the overriding objective of every well-meaning indigene.
The event also witnessed goodwill messages from stakeholders who pledged their continued support for initiatives capable of transforming the district through quality representation, educational advancement, and sustainable community development.
Among the notable personalities in attendance were the Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Hon. Andrew Ogunsakin; Dr. Deji Akinwalere; Hon. Idowu Otetubi; Barr. Banjo Ayenakin; Dr. Prince Soji Omowole; and several other political leaders, professionals, community stakeholders, youth representatives, and members of the Ondo South Development Forum.
