AINPN 2024 Week: Ayenakin to Deliver Lecture on Unintended Consequences of Oil Deregulation

The Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria, Ondo State Chapter, has announced that Barrister Olabanjo Ayenakin, Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Akure Branch will deliver a lecture titled “The Unintended Consequences of Oil Deregulation: The Impacts on Nigerians and Lessons for the Financial Sector.”

The event is scheduled for December 22, 2024, at the OSDPC Multi-Purpose Event Center, Ijapo Estate, Akure, starting at 3 PM.

Olabanjo Ayenakin is a multifaceted individual—exceptionally gifted, prolific, dynamic, and versatile. He is the Principal Partner at Banjo Ayenakin & Co, a well-known law firm located in Akure, Ondo State, with a branch in Ado-Ekiti.

He also serves as the Director General of the African Center for Human Empowerment, a development consulting firm. Additionally, Ayenakin is a Lecturer I at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, and an adjunct lecturer at Adekunle Ajasin University.

Ayenakin is a certified legal and development consultant for numerous international agencies. He was the Principal Consultant to the United Nations Development Project for the preparation of the draft Ondo State Audit Bill in 2011 and acted as a Project Consultant to DFID on the Partnership for Transforming Health Systems in Ekiti State in 2005.

The Chief Host for the event will be the Commissioner for Information in Ondo State, Hon. Adewale Akinlosotu. The Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.

The event will be chaired by Professor Dayo Faduyile, a former National President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA).

The awards presented by the Association of Independent Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (AINPN) aim to recognize, honor, and celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to society and Nigeria as a whole. This recognition will motivate the awardees to further their efforts and encourage others who are not on the list to strive for recognition as well.
