Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, has appointed Dr. Adetoun Adebisi Oyelude as its new University Librarian, following a comprehensive selection process. The appointment, which takes effective immediately, brings a seasoned professional with extensive experience in library management and academic research support to the university.

Dr. Oyelude, who holds the prestigious Fellow of the Nigerian Library Association (FNLA) and is a Certified Librarian of Nigeria (CLN), previously served as Deputy Librarian at the University of Ibadan. She holds a First Degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and both a Master’s Degree and PhD from the University of Ibadan, where she honed her skills in library management and research support.

The Vice-Chancellor of OAUSTECH, Prof. Temi Emmanuel Ologunorisa, expressed his excitement over Dr. Oyelude’s appointment, praising her wealth of experience and vision for advancing the university’s library services.

In her statement, Dr. Oyelude thanked the Governing Council and the Vice-Chancellor for the opportunity, committing to make OAUSTECH’s library a hub for academic excellence and innovation. Her appointment is seen as a major step in enhancing the university’s research capacity, student learning experience, and library resources.
