The Inspector-General of Police has approved the appointment of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jimoh Abayomi Kazeem as the new Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Ondo State Police Command, succeeding DSP Ayanlade Olushola.

DSP Kazeem, a member of Regular Course 2, Set 2019, is a graduate of Computer Science from the Nigeria Police Academy, Kano. He brings to the position a wealth of professional experience garnered across several strategic assignments within the Nigeria Police Force.

His service record includes roles as Crime Officer as well as Patrol and Guard Officer in the Lagos State Command, after which he proceeded to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal–Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (EOD-CBRN) Unit at the Force Headquarters, where he served as a Unit Commander.

Prior to his recent posting, DSP Kazeem was attached to the Counter Terrorism and CBRNE Unit of the INTERPOL Section, Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja. He has undergone specialized courses and trainings in areas such as Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing, Basic EOD-CBRNe, Global Biosecurity Enhancement Programme for Law Enforcement Joint Criminal-Epidemiologic Investigation, and Counter Terrorism Technical Training, among others.

The appointment is said to be in recognition of his proven competence in investigation, administration, and effective communication.
