Serial Rapist and Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested in Akure

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a suspect, Olamipekun Elegbeleye, in connection with cases of rape and armed robbery in Akure. The suspect allegedly lured a female victim onto his motorcycle, took her to a nearby bush, and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint, dispossessing her of her valuables.
Investigation and Arrest
– The suspect had allegedly committed similar crimes against four other female victims. He was apprehended at his hideout by police operatives. Items recovered from him include two SIM cards, two iPhones, a shirt, and Opay and Moniepoint ATM cards.

– The suspect confessed to the crime and has been remanded at the Ondo State Correctional Centre, Akure.The Command appreciates the Inspector-General of Police for his leadership and support.
