Poroye Endorses Odusola-Stevenson’s House of Reps Bid at Birthday Celebration
The Executive Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Prince Olabiyi Olaleye Poroye, has expressed strong support for the political ambition of the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC), Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, to represent the Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Poroye made the declaration during a birthday celebration organised in honour of Odusola-Stevenson over the weekend, where he described the OSRC boss as a committed public servant whose contributions continue to positively influence governance and public communication in Ondo State.
Addressing guests at the event, the OSOPADEC chairman noted that leadership and service are special callings, adding that some individuals are uniquely prepared for greater responsibilities in society.
“In the journey of life, we are not fashioned the same way. There are people God has prepared to become the very best of what they are destined to be, and you are one of those people,” Poroye said.
He commended Odusola-Stevenson for his resilience and maturity in navigating the complexities of public life, particularly within the political environment where challenges and differing perspectives are inevitable.
Poroye further acknowledged the celebrant’s contributions to the development of Ondo State through his leadership in the media sector, noting that his efforts have continued to strengthen effective communication and institutional growth.
He also offered prayers for the celebrant’s continued success, expressing confidence that greater opportunities await him in the future.
“As others have prayed for you, you will not be put to shame. The people God has raised to support and help you will not disappoint you,” he added.
The OSOPADEC chairman noted that supporters and admirers of Odusola-Stevenson are already expressing interest in seeing him represent the Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency at the national legislature, urging stakeholders and well-wishers to support the aspiration.
According to him, the most meaningful birthday gift for the celebrant would be collective support for his ambition to serve at the House of Representatives.
In his response, Odusola-Stevenson expressed gratitude to God and everyone who attended the celebration, describing the day as a moment of reflection and appreciation.
“Today is indeed a very special day for me, and I celebrate it with gratitude to God, and hope for even greater service in the years ahead,” he said.
