It was a thoughtful and powerful message that came out from the pulpits of the Redeemed Christians Church of God- RCCG, Double portion parish today when Pastor Mrs Akande raised a powerful prayer points that God would judge all the wicked leaders in Nigeria who are making life difficult for their citizens just like HE did to the king Pharaoh in the Bible when this king refused to let the Israelites go and served their God. According to her, she said that God decided to dealt with the King by sending swarms of flies upon thee ,and upon thy servants,upon thy people , and into thy houses and the houses of the Egyptians shall full of swarms of fliers , and also the ground whereon they are.” The Pastor who preached on the topic tilted: The Lord Defend HIS own. Took her text from the book of Exodus 8 vs 16-24 . Said that God is ever ready and willing to defend His people that are obedient to His words.
In another development, the Pastor defined the people that are God’s own to be those who have given their life to the Christ and obedient to His will and words. In her words, those who love HIM ,those who belong to Him and those HE protect, defend and save from the hands of Enemies are those could be in this family. She said that as God sever the land of Goshen in which the people of God dwell by protecting them so also he would protect His people while the land occupied by the Egyptians which was filled with swarms of fliers , so also He would separate the masses from the hands of the wicked leaders in our Country Nigeria by sever them from hunger , suffering, Insecurity and poverty that is ravaging the land.
Pastor Mrs Akande advised the congregations to be focused in God. In her words, ” Don’t doubt the power of God if you want Him to defend you. She said God can trouble our enemies (Ephesians 3 vs 20) and that He is able to do aboundantly whatever things we asked of Him. She challenged those leaders that are diverting the Hospital equipment and others public fund to their personal gain to stopped the attitude if they don’t want to see the wrath of God. She also said that the mismanagement attitude of our leaders toward the Public fund and others resources had caused most of the graduates not to secure job opportunities . According to her, some parents had children that have more than two degrees in various disciplines yet they could not get job due to the recklessness of our leaders, mismanagement and diversion of the Public fund to their personal pocket thereby only their immediate family and their relatives are the one benefiting from the resources that was meant to serve the public.
