Ondo State Government has promised to take over the education of the children of the workman who died when the old structures of the Local Authority Primary School Okitipupa Collapsed  and killed him while working before helps could come to him.

It was a sad occurrence because what happened was what the School management wanted to prevent from happening to personnel of the school especially,  the.pupils who  are in the habit of meeting around old delapidated building already abandoned for the new one which may collapsed with minimum pressure from the winds and effects of other elements.

The Chairman of Ondo State Universal Basic Education Rt Hon Victor Olabimtan represented by Full Time Member -2 Hon Saka Yussfu Ogeleye made the promise when he led a delegation of the State Government to the family house of the deceased at Obolo quarter in Irele in Irele Local Government Area of the State to commiserate with them.over the lost of their lost one .

According to Olabimtan, the State through the Board as a responsible institution can not leave its people alone in their trying moment like this. The government is feeling the pains the family of the deceased over the untimely death of their son, hence, we came to commiserate and sympathized with them.

“In addition to taking over the payment of the school fees, books and uniforms of the children of the deceased in Public Primary Schools in the State, Olabimtan said the Government through the Board will be supporting the family burial plans for the deceased with One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000), Only.

While reiterating the commitment of the the present administration to the welfare of its citizens, SUBEB boss said as a people’s oriented administration’s the government will not shack away from its responsibility to all with any form of discrimination and as such decided to take over the education of the deceased children in Public Primary Schools and contributed meaningfully to his burial.

Reacting to the view of some members of the deceased family who felt monetary assistance the Board rendered in support of the burial, Olabimtan reminded them that government is an organization that has a well structured guidelines for doing things.

According to the former Speaker Ondo State House of Assembly, The deceased was not killed by the State but given was Job to do in line with his trade and his expertise and has been paid for the job done before the sad incident occurred.

While promising that the Board will liase with the Police to release the remains of the deceased for burial the Chairman thanked the family of their peaceful nature before, during and for the outcome of the meeting the Chairman of SUBEB prayed that the peace that the family has been enjoying shall not depart them even after the final burial of the deceased

Speaking on behalf of the deceased family ,High Chief Adetoye Akinjamolu, head of the family and Akinjamolu of Irele Kingdom appreciated the Government for it’s kind gesture towards the children of the dependants of the deceased, the children and contribution towards the burial.

Earlier before going to the family house of the deceased for the condolences visit, the government’s delegation led by Hon Ogunleye was at the L. A School Okitipupa where the incident happened for an on the Spot Assessments of the situation. The Headteacher of the school along with her staff took the team round tbe School structures.

On the are Director of Social Mobilization Mr Julius Adebayo and her Deputy Mrs Akinmoladun, Director of Press Prince Bolu Diesel Ajijo, Education Secretary, Okitipupa Local Government Area LGEA Prince Arowojolu, Headteacher Mrs Ekundayo Deborah and staff of both Okitipupa and Irele LGEAs
