ILAJE LG CHAIRMAN, HON. ORIPENAYE (ARAH), RECEIVES TWO ILAJE-BORN FIRST-CLASS GRADUATES THROUGH A DELEGATION FROM (NAUIYO) IN HIS OFFICE

“This is a great academic feat that is worth celebrating,” says Hon. Arah.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa loves and values excellence,” says the LG Chairman.

The visionary Executive Chairman of Ilaje Local Government (LG), Chief (Hon.) Amona Maurice Oripenaye (Arah), officially received and welcomed two academically outstanding Ilaje-born First-Class graduates, Miss Olorundare (Orisadare) Justinah and Miss Omopariola (Upenko) Omotola, who graduated from the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa LG, Ondo State. The two First-Class graduates were presented by the President of the National Union of Ilaje Youths (NAUIYO), Prince Comr. Ogunyemi Taiwo (Sir T), who led the two ladies and some NAUIYO members to the LG Chairman’s office on April 2, 2025.

While speaking in his office, the LG Chairman expressed his extreme delight at the excellent performance of the two ladies. “In fact, I am highly impressed with your academic results. I am proud of you, Ilaje Nation is proud of your outstanding performance,” the Chairman stated. He further remarked that the duo had displayed great academic excellence, which is worth celebrating by all sons and daughters of Ilaje origin and the entire Ondo State.

Furthermore, the LG Chairman said that, as a graduate himself, he understands what it takes to achieve First-Class Honours at a university. Therefore, in recognition of this outstanding academic achievement, Hon. Oripenaye (Arah) announced that, starting from April until September (six months), he would provide each graduate with a ₦50,000 monthly stipend. Additional forms of encouragement and motivation would follow, according to the LG Chairman. Besides, he noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa treasures and loves excellence; therefore, he would present the ladies to the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. (Dr.) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. Miss Olorundare studied Food Science and Technology, while Miss Omopariola studied Fisheries. Hon. Arah also appreciated all NAUIYO members who accompanied the ladies to his office.

“Achieving the highest class of degree or academic honour is no easy task. Therefore, I would like to use this media space to encourage my well-meaning Ilaje sons and daughters to celebrate Miss Olorundare (a child of the late Prophet Arogundade) Justinah and Miss Omopariola Omotola for this great academic milestone so that other Ilaje indigenes in schools will be more committed to their academic pursuits.”

E-signed:
Hon. Sadare Taiwo,
Media Aide to the LG Chairman.
