ABILITY TO PRAY IS A BLESSING–Pst . Adeboye.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God- RCCG, Pastor E.A .Adeboye has said that ability to pray to God Almighty is a blessing. He said this today during the monthly thanksgiving  of the Church service when he was preaching on a topic “Overflowing Blessing”. He took his text from the book of Genesis 12v1-3 when God told Abraham to get out from his country, his kindred and his Father’s house to another land where God said he would blessed him. In his words ” Overflowing Blessing is when your blessings is extended to other people within the society in order to make life meaningful  to them with your blessings.” The man of God classified blessings to be of different categories among which was rich, wealthy, prosperous and over flowing blessings and among others.
In another development, the Pastor said there are various blessings that people could received from God. Among  them was ability to laugh is a blessing. Also he said ability to sleep is a blessing . He encouraged the congregation to always cultivate the habit of helping people with their wealth. Also, the man of God said that whosoever that have the ability to eat should know that it’s a blessing from God because it was not everyone who have ability to eat whether they have money or not.
In the same vein, the man of God advised anyone who had lived above seventy (70) years  on Earth to eat any thing they like provided  it’s okay to their health and not minding all these prescription from the Doctor since this categories of people could not live forever on Earth. The General Overseer of the Church also, cautioned people not to neglect their God. He advised that people should pray more in order for them to get answers to their prayers. While admonishing the people to always prayed against poverty,,at the same time , he cautioned the general public that they should not depend their lives on money at the expense of God, as money could develop wings and flew away.
Although, the pastor said the rich ruled over the poor and at the same time admonished us to prayed against poverty and he said the monster was a destroyer. Also, the man of God asked the people to put their trust in God if they want to be flourishing as they were categories of riches in life .He advised people not to trust in  their money and wealth as Devil had a way of dealing with those who put their trust in money. He gave an example of an ex rich man that won lottery worth of seventy thousand pounds in the olden days but spent it extravagantly and later became poor in life because he depended on his money without recognising his Creator .
In conclusion, he asked us (the born again Christians) to use their faith to help those who are rich materially but poor in faith so that they could know God and received the blessings that attached to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for accepting Him as their Lord and personal savior.
