OAUSTECH VC Hails Prof. Ajibefun’s Appointment as Education Commissioner Story: By Exponent News Akure 16th July 2025 The Vice-Chancellor of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, Ondo State, Professor Temi Ologunorisa, has congratulated Professor Igbekele Ajibefun on his appointment as the new Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology in Ondo State. In a statement issued by the university’s Directorate of Information, Protocol and Public Relations, Prof. Ologunorisa described the appointment by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as a recognition of Prof. Ajibefun’s proven dedication, academic excellence, and leadership in the education sector. The Vice-Chancellor expressed optimism that the new commissioner will bring his wealth of experience to bear in transforming the state’s education and science landscape, in line with the administration’s development goals. He noted that Prof. Ajibefun’s track record would inspire reforms, promote innovation, and foster academic excellence across all levels of education. “His leadership is sure to foster impactful policies that will strengthen the quality of teaching, learning, and scientific advancement in our state,” the statement read. Prof. Ajibefun, a former Vice-Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), is widely respected for his contributions to educational policy and university administration.
